MilSpouse Friday Fill-in #48

I haven't done one of these in a while so i thought I would do one. I haven't really done anything in a while, sorry I'm such a bum.

  1. Does your Significant Other read your blog? Why is this a good or a bad thing? submitted byMrs. Alana’s Miscellany

He knows I have a blog but as far as I know he doesn't read it. I don't really think its a good or bad thing if he does or doesn't read my blog.

  2. What is one item in your house that holds the most sentimental value and why? submitted by The Albrecht Squad

I think i would have to say my computer because it has all my pictures on it.

  3. When it comes to water fun in the summer do you prefer the beach, the pool, a lake, or the sprinklers? submitted by The Turvo Times

I absolutely LOVE to swim so anything I can swim in.

  4. What is the one special thing that you do for yourself to get you through the first week of a deployment/separation? submitted by A Creed and a Psalm

I actually don't remember what I did the first week A.J. deployed last time, but this deployment I think I'm gonna keep myself as busy as possible. Go to school, hang out with friends, maybe shop.

  5. What is your biggest guilty pleasure website? submitted by Christine’s Little Blog

Hhhhmmm I actually don't go to many websites but I would have to say people and you tube.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #43

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

  1. It’s now June (woot!)… what plans do you have for the summer?

Spend as much time with A.J. as possible and get PREGNANT!!

  2. What is your favorite summer memory as a kid?

Going camping at Ocean Shores with my family.

  3. If wild animals could be made pets without fear of them ever being dangerous, what kind of exotic animal would you want as a pet?

    A white tiger.

  4. Is there anything about deployments that you do like? submitted by The Thrifty Military Wife

I like that when he returns its like being in the Honeymoon faze all over again. I also kinda like that i can watch chick flicks any time I want.

  5. I’m starting to run out of questions again… so please give me a question you’d like to see (off-the-wall will most likely make it because we seem to have used a lot of the “traditional” ones).

Which kids movie animated character would you pick to be?

If you could have any superpower what would it be (only one) ?

What is the one food you wish you could eat as much as you want and never gain a pound?

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #42 (sorry its late)

Sorry its so late!!!!! I completely blanked about MilSpouse Friday. Sorry!!!!!

  1. Do you think civilians, in general, understand the meaning of Memorial Day?

No I don't think they do .... not all the way at least. I didn't even completely understand it until I got married to A.J.

  2. What are your plans for the Memorial Day Weekend?

Well sense A.J. is gone .... I'm spending it alone at home. Accept for Sunday I'm going swimming in the afternoon.

  3. What skill/talent do you wish you had? submitted by The 3 Turners

ANY!! I don't really feel like I have any talents. I mean I do well in school, I'm pretty good at directions, but I know people who can sit down at a piano and like a half hour later be playing a song they heard on the radio, and these people have had only 10 lessons. I paint but not very well and I'm not a good drawer. I could go on for a while about how I'm just ordinary but I'll stop there.

  4. Which came first: the chicken or the egg? submitted by I Married Into The Army

UUUUGGGGHHH this question is so frustrating. Who said one had to come before the other???? Maybe the chicken came sitting on the egg????

  5. What is the best thing about your post (base)? The worst? submitted byRandomly, Robyn

There are a lot of pools like 2 or 3 indoor and 2 outdoor, and free !!!! ( I love to swim) oh and the PX is awesome . Actually I don't mind the base I just hate the city its in. The worst would probably be that it isn't as friendly as other bases.

  1. What is one of the things you always do special when your husband returns from a deployment? submitted by Keep Calm and Soldier On

Well A.J. has only been deployed once sense we have been together, but that time our family got together and we went out to eat.

  2. What do you do to help your spouse and/or yourself re-adjust after a deployment or long separation? submitted by Diapers, Dogs and Deployments

Honestly, I'm not sure. Last time when he came back we just fell right back into our routine like he hadn't left. I let you know after this up coming deployment how it goes.

  3. Are you a crazy coupon clipper (I’m becoming one, so share your secrets with me)? submitted by Married My Airman

No I'm not. I'm really interested in becoming one though.

  4. What’s your most treasured memory of you and your spouse (not counting your wedding – that’s a given)? submitted by Scrubs, ACUs and One Crazy Ride

We had been only going out like 2 or 3 months and ,I don't remember how but, I was looking at the ring his mom handed down to him and he just said "Keep it. Its going to be your anyway". He knew then, only knowing me a few months that he wanted to marry me. *sigh* I love him so much.

  5. If you could live anywhere overseas, what would you pick and why? submitted by Little Moments Like This

Ether Germany or Italy because both of them I will be able to travel all around Europe. Germany because I have a friend from there and she has told me about it and I hear they are really friendly. Italy because there are so many great places to visit in Italy and PASTA. lol

  1. Which was the best day of your life- Wedding day or Homecoming day? submitted by Pink Champagne, Gatorade & MRE

Oh dear this is hard. I would have to say Wedding day, It was the most wonderful day ever!!! I married my very best friend the love of my life, on a beautiful sunny day. It was the perfect day. But Homecoming is a very close second, like one point below wedding day. When we got married he deployed 10 days later so we didn't really get to live "married life", when he came home it was like a second wedding in that it was the day we got to start our lives together as a married couple. If that makes sense.
  2. Were you a part of the joining the military question or did you sign up for the relationship when your man was already in the military? submitted by Cammo Style Love

When Hub's and I met he had been in the army for 3 years already.
  3. What is your favorite Disney movie and why? submitted by Raising Roscoe

I love Disney movies ..... well actually all kids movies. Picking a favorite is gonna be hard. I have two favorites for different reasons. First is Cinderella, I love this movie because I have really great memories from my childhood when I was in the hospital watching it with my dad. Second is ...... well I was going to say Despicable Me but then I realized that its not a Disney movie. I went and looked at my Disney movies and decided that I cant pick a second there are to many that I like.
  4. What is your favorite family activity to do on the weekends? submitted by Destination: RN!

With how much hub's is working lately all I wanna do is relax at home with him. But If we are gonna do something we love to bowl and play Putt-putt golf. There isn't a whole lot to do here so we are limited.
  5. Where do you secretly wish you could be stationed with you/your SO’s line of work (realistically speaking, not everyone can be stationed on NAS Fiji)? submitted by Wookie & Co.

Well I really want to be stationed overseas like Germany or Italy. In states I want to be stationed in Hawaii (I know the Army considers it overseas but I don't lol)

MilSpouse Friday Fill-in #39

Well its Friday and this is my first MilSpouse Friday Fill-In. If you want to join, link up at Wife of a Sailor. Feel free to comment.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1.Have you and your spouse agreed to live in separate locations (a geographical bachelor tour) knowing that the short-term inconvenience would have long-term benefits for your family? How did it work for you? submitted by When Good People Get Together

No we've never lived in separate locations. We have talked about it and I'm not completely closed to the idea, but we will see.

2. What is your favorite thing about being a MilSpouse? submitted bySarah Ruth Today

My favorite thing about being a MilSpouse is the moving. I love going to new places, seeing new things, meeting new people.

3. If you could still have your spouse/significant other and your family, but take the military life out of it…would you? submitted by Trust. Love. Believe. Bake.

No way!!!!! I love the security that my husband cant just be laid off. I love that the army is like its own little community. You can find pretty much everything you need on base.

4. What have your homecoming experiences been like after a year long tour of separation? submitted by Army Soldier, Army Wife

When A.J. came back from deployment it was like he had never left. We picked right back up where we left off. It took a little getting used to not being alone but I worked through it pretty fast.

5. If you have a child(ren) why you chose their name(s)? If not, why you would name your child something? submitted by Tiara’s & ACU’s

We don't have any kids yet, and we haven't settled on any names yet either. (This question confuses me lol)

Welcome to my blog

I would like to introduce myself my name is Kris this is my first blog and I’m a little nervous about it. I’ve been following a lot of blogs and decided that I wanted to start one of my own. So here is it. I am married to the most wonderful man in the world we will call him A.J. We have been married for 5 years this June 17th. A.J. is in the Army going on 9 years this October. We are currently on our third duty station at Fort Bliss. We don’t have any children yet but we are trying. Right now we just have pet’s 2 cats 1 dog.

I am currently going to school to become a nurse. I just recently decided to go to school for nursing so I’ve only taken 2 classes so far. Still have a lot left to do.

Some info about my blog

  •        I am horrible at grammar I try, but I’m just bad at it. I’m going to tell you this ahead of time and apologize for it. Also if I get the 3 there’s mixed up or the 2 yours mixed up …. I’m sorry. English is not my thing.
  •     This blog will be used to write about pretty much everything.  For a few months it will probably be focused on TTC and my A.J.’s upcoming deployment.
  •        I’m not using our whole names for privacy and if any of my family or friends comes across this blog they won’t know it’s me.
  •         I am very new to this and would love suggestions and tips. I won’t tolerate people being rude.  And if you don’t like what I’m saying then don’t read.

I'm not really sure what else to say for an intro so I’m just going to end it here. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and I hope you come back.
